Tanzania werkgroep

On Wednesday march 24th it is the day of "Walking for water 2010" . This yearly event for Scholars and students of Tilburg Primary Schools is organised by the Tanzania Working group, Twinning Tilburg Same. 

Every year a waterproject in Same District will be chosen. This year event will be dedicated to the little village Majevu. In Majevu the people of the village want to install some sources and some water Pumps.The rest of the village will be connected to this watersources with several cranes.

This waterproject will cost about 28.000 euro. That realy is a lot of money. Tilburg Municipality, Brabant Water and the body of surveyors of the dikes"de Dommel" will double every euro collected by the children of Tilburg. After doubling Aque for all again doubles this amount of money.

So every Euro collected is worth 4 euro !

This year about  171 children will take part.  The next schools are joining the program.

 Zuiderlicht, Armhoefse Akker, Thomas More, St. Hubertus, De Alm
